Dear Topeka Public Schools Family,
Thank you for an awesome first week of school! This week has been exciting as several companies and churches have chosen to adopt a school. We thank our community partners for investing in our students.
We have expanded student enrollment in our Dual Language Program and in our College Prep Academy. Their first college visit for those students is this week.
Topeka Public Schools is committed to supporting our staff, which is reflected in our competitive compensation and benefits package. We have proposed a significant compensation increase again this year for teachers and if ratified, compensation will increase again this year with a zero percent health insurance increase. Once the agreement is finalized, more information will be in a future newsletter.
This year will be a year filled with many more achievements as we fulfill the mission to engage, prepare and inspire our students and faculty.
