TPS Kicks Off the Fall Season

What an exciting month of October! Pictured above are preschool students at Sheldon Head Start enjoying a day of shopping for winter attire, courtesy of Advisors Excel. We are so grateful to our community partners for investing in the lives of TPS students.

This month, we celebrated the end of Hispanic Heritage Month at Scott Dual Language Magnet School's Fall Fiesta. Many schools held events over the past few weeks, which are highlighted in this newsletter. Topeka Public Schools is proud to offer the only PreK-12 Dual Language Program in the region.

As we celebrated National School Lunch Week and National School Bus Safety Week, we thank our amazing food service staff members and bus drivers for their positive impact on students each day.

As we celebrated National Boss' Day on October 16, we thank all our district leaders and the Board of Education for their incredible leadership that makes Topeka Public Schools such a special place.

We thank all of our families who attended Parent Teacher Conferences yesterday and throughout the day today. If you were not able to meet this week, please contact your child's school to set up a meeting at your availability.

Thank you for helping us have a wonderful start to the Fall season. We look forward to seeing many of our families at Fall Festivals on Monday.

Dr. Tiffany Anderson

Superintendent
