Superintendent's End of the Year Message

Dear Topeka Public Schools Family,

As we end this final week of the school year, thank you for your support, love and flexibility. We thank our staff, parents and students for leading us through a challenging but rewarding year. Pictured above are graduates from each high school who returned to McClure last week to inspire elementary scholars to plan to go to college in the future. We have shown we can overcome any challenge. Over the last several weeks we congratulated our graduates at our high schools and at our elementary schools. We will end the week celebrating the promotional events for our middle school scholars. In addition to the academic celebrations, high school graduates gained over eight million dollars in student scholarships, Topeka High made history with the undefeated season by the ladies softball team that won the state championship, and we have expanded our College Prep Academy to the college level as our first rising junior enters college full time into the Early College Academy at Washburn. This year has certainly been one of the most challenging for us all, however with your incredible support, we have continued to engage, prepare and inspire our scholars and families for a lifetime of excellence. Thank you for your ongoing support and have a wonderful start to the summer.
