Dear Topeka Public Schools Family,
This week, I had the pleasure of spending time with our young leaders from Highland Park High School’s third annual summer leadership symposium. Three Highland Park educators plan the event, providing this opportunity to students who were nominated by staff. Our students have so much talent and dedication, developing themselves as leaders for our community. We especially want to thank Bria Collins, Elena Buckner, Celeste Rojero and our Highland Park alumni in making the leadership academy a success.
It is an honor to be appointed by Kansas Governor, Laura Kelly, to serve on the Postsecondary Technical Education Authority. Serving Kansas and being a representative from Topeka Public Schools in this role is a privilege as we continue working to expand college and career opportunities for all students in Kansas.
As a reminder, registration begins on Monday for all families. We look forward to seeing you at our back-to-school events.
