Happy Valentine's Day!

Dear Topeka Public Schools Family,  

Happy Valentine’s Week! Congratulations to our Horizon Award winner, Hannah Taylor, and our recently awarded National Board Certified teacher, Phillip Wrigley, who we will celebrate Friday at the state’s recognition event. We also congratulate our new administrators for the 2019-2020 school year, as current principals prepare to retire and transition into new opportunities next year.

We are excited to promote staff internally into new roles. 

This winter has created some challenges with icy roads, sub-zero temperatures and forecasts that vary. Student safety is always our primary focus. When we are not certain students can travel to school safely due to inclement weather, we will not risk having any student injured in order to remain open. 

We have enough days within our current calendar that covers the current inclement weather days. If additional inclement weather needs occur, it will be addressed at that time.

February has been an exciting month with celebrations of the 100th day of school, Black History Month and Counselor Appreciation Week.
