Dear Topeka Public Schools Family, This month is National Women's History Month! Thank you to all the women that uplift and build confidence in our young women scholars every day. I hope you are having a fantastic spring break. I am spending it on a mother and son adventure for my son's last spring break in college and ending it with my TPS family at the Topeka Rescue Mission. Our students living at the rescue mission will be offered opportunities again this year to attend a spring break camp this week. Spring break employment opportunities at the rescue mission were made available to our paras to provide extra support. As an added reminder, those who are interested in seasonal employment with our partner organization, can visit https://parks.snco.us/index.aspx?NID=284. They are filling opportunities now for the summer.
We are extremely excited about the Law and Public Safety pathway that will be offered at the Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers. The new pathway was created in partnership with Chief Bill Cochran and the Topeka Police Department. The pathway will be taught by Topeka police officer Brandon Gogian. Students will have the opportunity to learn and grow from experts in both the law and public safety fields. To learn more about the partnership, click here.
It’s so hard to believe promotions and graduations are just two months away. Please take time this week to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather.
