Fall Festivities and Fun

Dear Topeka Public Schools Family,

As we prepare for the winter season, we reflect on the many things we are thankful for, which includes ways we care for the most vulnerable in our community. Pictured is our participants in the intergenerational program at Meadows Elementary, which involves a partnership with Brewster Place and Meadows fifth-grade students. We thank the Meadows staff for being a model of excellence in the area of community service.

Thank you to all of our families for the wonderful parent involvement at our fall events. Homecoming continued this past Friday as students and staff members from Topeka High showed their school spirit during their homecoming parade. I had a wonderful time participating in the parade and connecting with alumni at the game.

This past week we celebrated the opening of the Bishop Professional Development Center. We are excited about the continued professional growth of our employees.

Thank you for your tremendous support and we look forward to seeing you at the fall festival parades and parent-teacher conferences.
